In this prompt I'm interested in exploring a particular setting, and I'm very open about what type of story we actually play out in that setting.This is a world of female superiority. Not anything supernatural or over the top, but instead a world that could plausibly exist had human evolution gone just a little bit differently. I was inspired by the matriarchal and highly sexual nature of bonobo society in coming up with this prompt, and I wanted to pose the question: what if our society was more like theirs? There are a couple of aspects to this, so bear with me.Firstly, I'm envisioning a world in which women are naturally superior to men, at least on a cognitive level. They're on average more intelligent, by a moderate (if undeniable) amount, and as a result they make up the bulk of academics, CEOs, and other such mentally demanding professions. However, just like in our world, they're usually somewhat smaller and less muscularly built than men, so men occupy the majority of more physically demanding jobs. There's thus a much starker sex-based division of labour than in our world, with women occupying most positions of power and men doing the "grunt work". Men are banned from holding political office or voting, because women know that due to their lesser intelligence, they can't be trusted with such important duties. Women's intellectual advantage isn't huge, but it's enough to put men, as a class, at a perpetual disadvantage.Secondly, gender roles look very different to our own society. Men are expected to be submissive, do as their wives say, and keep their noses out of important "women's matters" (politics, money, business, etc.). Physical strength in men is still very prized, since their role in society is largely seen as being that of performing important manual labour at the behest and direction of women. Society is matriarchal and matrilineal. When a man gets married, he moves in with his wife, takes her last name, and is now considered to essentially be her possession. Attitudes about this are changing slowly, and progressive "men's rights" movements do exist, but they remain fairly fringe beliefs. Though this society has 21st century technology, gender roles are still much more conservative than in our own world. The biological nature of men's inferiority makes this inevitable.Finally, sex is the main tool used by women to keep men docile and under their control. Men are naturally put into a calm and submissive state by sexual arousal. If a man is getting uppity, disobedient, or ignoring a woman's authority, all it takes is a bit of gentle touching to distract him from whatever he was worried about and set him back on the right track. As a woman becomes more and more familiar with the particular sexual tastes of her man (or men, as the case often is), she generally becomes better and better at keeping him in line. Aroused men are more trusting and less able to engage in complex reasoning. Because of this, women generally keep a tight watch on their partner's orgasms. A woman who has let her man go out alone without emptying his balls first is at the risk of letting him get seduced into the subservience of another woman.One way to keep a man especially agreeable and docile is to keep him continuously aroused. There is a bit of a tradeoff, since an aroused man may be less able to focus on his work, but often the results are worth it. Women use frequent teasing to keep men on a short leash. However, this can be taken too far. Eternally denying a man orgasm can be very painful for him, and is generally considered cruel. It's even sometimes used in court as evidence that a woman is mistreating her man and is unfit to keep him.In some cultures, prominent and powerful women take multiple husbands, with the number of men one has being a signifier of status. In others, monogamy is the more prominent type of relationship. However, in general, sexual mores are much looser than in our own world. It's not an uncommon sight to see a woman rubbing a man's crotch in public, for example, as a means of calming him down. Sex is often used in a very "utilitarian" way like this. Not explicitly for pleasure, but for the purpose of controlling men. Of course, people also have sex for pleasure. Women need to get their needs met, after all, and men have very little say int he matter.Now, so far this has made the relationship between men and women seem somewhat adversarial, with women keeping men eternally on a chain. But this is far from the truth. Yes, men are expected to obey the authority of women, but this doesn't mean that genuine love and companionship can't arise. Just as in our own world, love and passion exist alongside inequality. Women are expected to treat their men with kindness and chivalry, and a woman mistreating her man is taken as a great social taboo. Men and women fall in love, raise families, joke, fight, and everything else couples can be expected to do. The stark gender roles and power imbalance don't change that in the slightest.I'd like to play out a sort of slice-of-life, "vanilla" romance plot in this setting. Of course, by "vanilla" I mean vanilla in the context of this very different world. This is a gentle femdom focussed prompt, which means no whips, chains, or other sorts of cruelty! I want to explore the sort of kind, gentle, and loving domination that a men might experience in this alternate world. We could really take this any direction you want:Perhaps you're a college student, and there has recently been a push to allow male entrants to your university. I'm one of the first male students who enters. Or maybe (if you want to play in a society that has polygamy) you're a powerful CEO with a number of husbands already, and you've recently taken a liking to your new employee. Or anything else you can come up with! Honestly I'm not looking for anything fancy plot wise, I just want an excuse to explore this world together!
